New Life Foundation is a non-profit interdenominational
organisation that helps transform the lives of poor,
oppressed children and young women.  By providing
residential care, a family atmosphere, and a school and
training centres, the New Life Foundation is a home to
pregnant teens, poor children, and HIV/AIDS orphans
suffering from homelessness, hunger and disease.  It
supports these children spiritually, physically, emotionally,
and mentally. The foundation’s purpose is to improve the
socioeconomic status of young women and children in their
communities through education and support, thus helping to
create a better future for Tanzania.

About Rev. Glorious Shoo
President of New Life Foundation

Glorious and Josephine Shoo are passionate and committed
to doing the great work God has set out for them in their
home country of Tanzania, in Africa and around the World.

They work across denominational lines to reach the children
of Africa.  As well as helping change the lives and
circumstances of hundreds of children through New Life
Foundation, the Shoo's also work closely with well-known
Christian relief organizations such as Compassion
International Tanzania and World Vision Tanzania. They have
trained more than 4,000 children’s workers throughout the
nation for these and other organizations.

Rev. Shoo has ministered in many nations, including the
USA, in conferences, Bible schools, training centres, and
much more. He speaks three languages and has helped
translate several English children’s church curriculum's into
Swahili. He works as an interpreter for English guest
ministers at conferences and crusades. Glorious is
currently working on a project with a team of children’s
ministers from Africa where they are writing a children’s
curriculum for Africa’s children.

Due to their effective work, open hearts and strong integrity
they are well-respected and well received by many pastors
in a wide variety of church affiliations in the entire eastern
African region, including Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa.

Glorious and Josephine have four beautiful children of their
own and live in Moshi, Tanzania, close to the Fountain of
Hope elementary school.
Karibu!
That means “Welcome!” in Swahili.

We are Glorious and Josephine Shoo of
Tanzania, East Africa, and we are very excited to tell
you about the ministry God has placed in our hands.
Our vision is to see the poor people get the
opportunity and access to all of the important needs
in their lives. Educating the children from these poor
families is one of the best ways to alleviate the
poverty.

A New Vision
We have presented our intention to establish a
University.
You can not believe what the Lord is doing. The
chairman of that board has accepted to be
contributing to our committee at anytime we may
need his help.
He has been the pioneer for about three leading
universities in Tanzania.
Some other people who have accepted to be on our
steering committee  are Dr. Fredrick Shoo, Professor
Dominick Iwisi of University of South Africa,
Professor G. Mmari (the chairman of the
accreditation for higher education).

Fountain of Hope
In the year 2001 we formally established a Christian
elementary boarding school, Fountain of Hope, in
Moshi, Tanzania, with an enrollment of about 51
students, and growing daily. As of August 2006 we
have 230 children  students. Unlike other Christian
boarding schools in our country, we have opened our
doors to the poorest children of our nation, even
orphans, who normally can not even afford a public
school education. We house them feed them, clothe
them and take care of their medical needs in addition
to giving them both a Christian and scholastic
education. Although we currently have only primary
school children, our plans are to educate our
children all the way to high school graduation. This is
a very important and unique ministry.

Great Need
We are totally depending on God to meet our needs
daily because the sponsorship money does not go
for things like buildings and other projects. Yet every
year we need to add to classrooms and to dormitory.
This year we had more than 90 needy and orphans
that wanted to attend school but we could only take
25.
So many people were crying when we told then we
can not take any more children.
It was very sorrowful moment..

One of the things we are  involved in is ministering to
thousands of children in open air crusades, Bible
clubs, camps, and Vacation Bible Schools. We have
been ministering to children in schools, hospitals,
children's juvenile homes, etc. We have had the
opportunity to minister in many countries, including
Kenya, Uganda, USA, and Rwanda.

Fountain of Joy
In addition to ministering to young children, we also
are working with unwed teenage mothers,
attempting to introduce them to Jesus Christ as
Lord, while also providing them with skills and an
education to help them become productive, self-
supporting citizens. We have established a formal
ministry for them called the Fountain of Joy.

Fountain of Love
Last, but not least, we recognize the extreme
importance of training other men and women to do
what we do in working with children and young
people. Therefore we have established the Fountain
of Love ministry which involves conferences,
seminars, and workshops nationwide through which
we can equip children’s workers in every area of
children’s ministry imaginable.

Fountain of Zoe
A new building was just finished in 2006 for the
children of Fountain of Zoe. It is a state of art. The
town even named it the, ‘House of the Year.’ Though it
did not come easy, the process has taken three
years. They bought the land from a church and then
had enough money to pour the foundation. That sat
idle for one year until a team came and video the
area and explained the vision. Then a woman from
the US gave $20,000 to continue the building
process. Once the money was spent the building
stopped until another sponsor sent enough money to
nearly finish the building.
This building will hold 40-50 children ranging in age
from newborn up to 4 years. After age four they
transition to Fountain of Hope nursery.
God is already helping fill the building by revealing a
corrupt orphan company. The government would like
to have New Life Foundation over take the 20 babies
from this corruption.
The building is 21 km from Fountain of Hope
Visions: Industrial washing machines, deep freezer,
microwave, gardens and animals to supply food
instead of market
Urgent Needs: 40 beds, cleaning supplies, activity
centers for children’s development, and sponsors for
babies.
